Hell on Wheels brought me here. Couldn't get this song out of my head after I heard it on the show. This is a powerful song.

At the Indianapolis concert, the band came up with a single microphone and it was silent. They sang this song. “You are not alone in this... as brothers we will stand and hold your hand” made me cry. I’ve never heard that song before until that concert and it gave me hope. God, thank you Mumford and Sons.

Just a little insight on this songs meaning! It's actually not about suicide or losing a child. It stems from an idea from John Steinbecks novel, East of Eden. Timshel is a Hebrew word meaning "thou mayest." This song focuses on the choice between good and evil. The Bible says thou mayest conquer sin, and Mumf&sons does a great job at highlighting the struggles of this decision but the support you have from your brothers and sisters, as well as your God.

I danced to this song, and the way my coach explained it is, that you are trying to help your friend who is struggling and needs your help, but they keep pushing you away until you don’t want to help them anymore. And you friends realize what they’ve done until it’s to late. And they give up. It’s really sad to think about but it happens to a lot of people, they think they don’t need/want help but they really do need that love and care.
