My mistake was holding the bottle down too hard and that misaligned the scored line. My package had a rectangular block on 6-inch bolts with wingnuts to hold the bottle down and I should have let it do the job. Boiling the bottle and dipping in cool water works but I will try a heat gun next time. I used a 1x2x10 block of wood to tap the bottle after the cool water immersion. Icy water may work better to release the scored end without tapping. A longer wine bottle will require cutting the neck off first. I think this is a good purchase when you get the hang of it.

Simple and fine design! Why do not you fix the adjustable stopper channel just the other way so the stopper can be adjusted with the bottle in place!

I find it odd that the maker chose to put in effect 6 wheels on the rig - if you get a mishapen bottle (which seems not to be unusual) there's a chance that the bottle will sit on the 4 castors and lift off the scoring roller/cutter - especially if you hold and press down on the bottle as you were towards the end of your video. It seems odd for the maker to spend additional money to add something that actually detracts from the machine.
