Im a month away from being 35 and god this song makes me miss being a kid and my dad always jamming some CMT. Long live 90s country!

In my opinion Alabama's most timeless song.

When I was a wee lass, I'd scamper about the Texas prairie listening to 90s country radio. One day in my father's body shop, this song came on and I decided to perform it aloud for what I thought was an imaginary audience. I turned around to find him and a couple local yokels watching me, beers in hand, trying so hard not to laugh. M o r t i f i e d 😂--but here I am, still singing along w/ the same enthusiasm! 🤠

This is one of those songs you'll get stuck in your head even if you haven't listened to it in years. Most Alabama songs by will do that to you

I use to hear this song all the time as a kid when my mom played it on the radio and I didn't think much of it, but I'll be 30 next year and it now this song hits me a little differently.

This song hits me hard. Born in 95 in Miami my dad is an avid hunter and would take me to Alabama to hunt deer and we would play this song and other country classics. Anyways this song embodied him he always lived life in a hurry which would drive me and my mom nuts. He’s in his 60s now retired and got nowhere to go nothing to rush to but he’s still in a hurry!

I just discovered this song a couple of months ago and I'm seriously addicted. I can't stop either watching the video or listening to it on my playlist.

I hear this song and suddenly I’m 5 years old again, riding down Highway 124 in Braselton, Georgia in a 1984 Cutlass Supreme with my grandmother. What a time to be a kid. All those cow pastures are subdivisions and warehouses now. I miss all of it so much.

I had one of the worst jobs in my life when I first heard this song. It was a hostile environment, with a lot of stress. Whenever I heard this song, it lifted my spirits and reminded me that all I had to do was live and die. So, why worry? Thanks for playing this.

My mom passed away April 9th of this year. I haven't heard this song in years. And in the car it came on and all these memories came flooding back and I broke down. My mom loved this song and would actually do a little work out video on VHS with this song and a few others on it. Crying singing and then the phone rings and it's the guy I just showed her house to and he had an offer and we took it. Best offer yet. It was my mom telling me that this is it and go with it.

To be honest as a kid growing up, said I never liked country but grew up with it, it was playing at home, parties, etc. deep down I did like it. After going to jamboree in the hills 2000-02 seeing many from Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Clint Black, Hank Williams jr, Alan Jackson, Travis trit, Charlie Daniels n many more, it’s growing on me more as I get older.

Edit: this was at the jamboree in the hills 4 day country festival I seen all these

I read that Randy Van Warner wrote this song. He wrote many songs for others and himself despite being called a one hit wonder !! Not in my eyes this is an awesome song!!

Love the old men watching everyone rush through life as they sit back. Timeless song! Reminds me ofy parents in the 90s dancing all over the place. Life moves so fast dont forget to enjoy the little things.
