Angelica is a underrated band, should have had more recognition, the powerful sound of the bass makes this album simply spectacular 👏😲👏😲👏😲👏😲😮

I would like to check out "Without Words" but am not ready to shell out $17 and shipping for it. I believe it was Dennis's decision to release it under the Angelica name.

The first two Angelica are stellar IMO.
As for using the Angelica name on the instrumental album, I can guarantee it would not have sold as well without the Angelica logo on the front. Just a simple marketing fact. Solo albums rarely sell as well as the band albums. I think there were instrumentals on every Angelica album, so it's not that big of a stretch to have an Angelica instrumental album IMO.

Another great review. Thanks for the in-depth glimpses into these albums. Keep up the good work! For my money, "Walkin' In Faith" is the best Angelica release. Jerome Mazza also sang on Steve Walsh's 2017 solo album, Black Butterfly (Steve was the original lead singer/keyboardist for Kansas).

In some regards it reminds me of the band T.N.T.

It’s funny you played that Hot Metal Summer track, because I also had that before this album came out, and it got me really pumped for the album. Based on that track, I thought Dennis was gonna go really heavy, so when I heard the record it was kind of a letdown. Not what I was expecting. I grew to appreciate it for what it was, though.

I’m hoping they put this out on vinyl soon. Don’t understand why they didn’t to begin with, and I’m REALLY scratching my head at the decision to do Without Words on vinyl instead of this. Made no sense. Not sure why they thought that was gonna sell. (It wasn’t, last I checked).

Thanks for reviewing this...I was on the fence about this one, I’ll have to check it out. I have and love the self titled one with Rob Rock on vocals. Any chance of reviewing the demo sessions cd? I’m curious about the sound quality and if it’s worth getting...also, I think it was done with a different vocalist? By the way, I think Without Words is great and probably one of the best instrumental albums made in a long time.
