"Salento" is a part of Puglia region, in the deep south of Italy, where the stereotype is that people are simple, funny and love to eat.

The word "April" is also "spanish-ized", and so is the full name of the singer. Btw Checco, his art name, is pronounced "KEKKO" (KE as in Kelso)

Checco "Oscar Francisco" in italianized spanish:
