~~~3rd day. Ascending the Etna volcano. The volcano where the god Vulcan resided and in which according to Greek mythology, Zeus threw in his main rival Typhon. The crater that we reached is called torre del filosofo. It's named after the philosopher Empedocles who threw himself into the crater in order to be immortalized. ~~~
