no one really listens to her do they? I love it when she says 'I had a career for 7 years already, I was doing America. But doing this contest is always good for your career.' a message that should be broadcast to every singer and group in the world!!! Unless you claim to already have "superstardom" than you can actually fail big time, sorry Alexander, Blue, Bonnie Tyler, Engelbert Humperdinck, La Zarra, etc...But look at who it launched. Nana Mouskouri, Lara Fabian, Celine Dion, Mocedades, Gigiola Cinquetti, Abba, Julio Iglesias, Olivia Newton-John, Maneskin, Mahmood, Bobbejaan Schoepen (Bobby John in the rest of the world) was just on the brink of a breakthrough and, to be honest I never liked the man as he was a chauvinistic racist, but to do that performance after being rushed from the Ed Sullivan shown back to Europe to only know which song he would sing two days before the performance and achieve that. Hat off! RESPECT!!!

Today Lyss Assia's words are so much more important. as an artist you will literally participate in the Olympics of entertainment on the biggest stage on earth, literally last year it was 500M², with the best technical team in the world, with anything you want as technically challenging as what your country can afford. flying, fake bridge, 3D projections, driving a car on stage, having a full winter garden or a Mirrorball coming down from nowhere, a grand staircase to walk down from? we got you covered Even a near genuine sized moon or trumpets hanging above you. need fireworks or pyrotechnics? the best company in the world will provide your needs, they do Tomorrowland. You want to sing with a real orchestra? no problem, during 3 months you have to tour Europe with one or two concerts with ta real live orchestra butchering your song like it was the 1990's, only better. After that las Saturday in May, you will be exhausted, but you will have little time to rest because, if your act was good, you are now booked solid for concerts, festivals, arena's and more for at least 18 month! Barbara Pravi is still touring, Slimane has crossed the Atlantic Ocean, Baby Lasagna is on the brink of becoming an international superstar in his niche, just liek Kaarija, Loreen, and so many others. Sandra Kim and Barbara Dex, yes the best and worst performers in Belgian Eurovision history, still tour with Jazz, Blues and swing with enormous live big bands. and best of all Riverdance is still touring the world, 30 years after eclipsing the main event.

So all of you writers and singers, get to your writing pad and instruments and churn out some epic songs with epic performances on stage. make memories for you and for the world!
