this world is so cruel, yet so beautiful.

starting 2022 with a shoddy attempt at an amv i made for tkt, aka, one of the most impactful osts I've ever heard. this audio is slowed and has a more cathedral/echo and is damp on purpose to imitate a 'hazy/summer dream' vibe, headphones are recommended. i tried to put what i see when i hear tkt in a montage with regard to the series.

when i first heard T-KT and its following leitmotif pieces, it changed me, i don't know how to put it, but there's something in this piece that makes me feel everything, and personally, i think this piece is the series stripped to its bare essence. it's eren, it's his desolate knowingness and cruelty in a beautiful world, it's mikasa, her resilience and beauty in a cruel world, it's armin, his tenderness, neverending curiosity and willingness to still wonder in a grey world.

apart from the beautiful plot complexities, contentious takes on the ending, moral ambiguity, philosophy, and fabrications from the story, at the end of a day, all armin, mikasa and eren, wanted was to be happy and chase after each other. and these precious moments are what they hold closest to them.

i cannot thank isayama enough for the past 9 years, snk is something i will remember for the rest of my life. this song is hopeful, haunting, reminiscent, new, light, and dark. just like life, this song is life put in notes.

An absolutely beautiful amv. The sound...the reverb... visuals... It's a perfect take to visualize how far snk has come; a bittersweet, yet compelling conclusion. Truly, this haunting version of T-KT really blends well with such a riveting, heartbreaking story, and I totally agree that the song speaks volumes on everything snk represents. Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto did an incredible job on bringing such memorable music, but for me, the most memorable will always be the songs that are slower and more solemn. Just something about them that makes you pause, makes you think of peace and sorrow in equal measure

The saddest part about AOT is realizing that it is nothing more than a metaphor for the real world, so many touching themes. Childhood innocence, coming of age, dreams, conflict and war, the cycle of violence and hatred, etc. An utter masterpiece, thank you Isayama.

I came here after the finale. I think that this quote in the title and this video sums up perfectly AOT. Life is full of pain and violence, the world is a cruel place.
But it’s also so full of beautiful things which we can enjoy, little precious things. This serie gave me something I will treasure for the rest of my life, like Lord of The Rings, Kingdom Hearts and many other stories I love.
I will miss these characters so much, their love, their thoughts, their fears, their dreams and their stories. Sometimes I feel like I can listen to them talking to me and being present, they are a part of me in some ways.
It’s beautiful how Art can enter in your life and leave remains everywhere.
I will never forget AOT, Armin, Mikasa, Eren, all the others. I’m grateful I could experience this journey, it has been full of meaning.
