At last - I have found what the bird song I have been hearing is. I`ve been searching through loads of videos and none of them described that 2 note call. This channel is so interesting. Thank you thank you.

A fantastic video! For the last five years I have had a few pairs nesting in my back garden. The mating call has been going on now for the last two weeks as well as exploration of the numerous bird boxes dotted around the garden. This vid gives an excellent explanation of those calls I hear all the time! Thanks.

I’ve been woken by these calls each spring for the past couple of years, but just this morning caught sight of a great tit at the same time. It won’t make me any less grumpy at 5am tomorrow, but it’s good to finally know who to blame!! (and to have identified another visitor to the trees behind my flat.)

Teacher, teacher, very apt as you have taught me a few things. I loved the false alarm calls, I have often wondered if our British birds use a shared communication. Great video as always. Steve.

Thank you for that! What an excellent video! I've been hearing the one at 3:24 for the last few days and couldn't figure out what it was. Then managed to spot that it was some kind of tit today so this really helped me nail it down as most websites just give the most common call and don't go into so much detail.
