BEVINSEE MOTORCYCLE LED HEADLAMP TEST

This is the BEVINSEE H4 HS1 led headlamp for motorcycles. It has a power consumption of 15 watts on Lo beam and 30 watts on Hi due to both beams being switched on together internally. The bulb was under £20 from ebay so may be a counterfeit, but Bevinsee is only a Chinese unbranded brand name anyway, so it's probably fine. It looks well made and includes a built in driver and cooling fan. In the real world it fits right into my classic bike headlamp despite incorporating a cooling fan, and has a good focus in the reflector, although the Hi beam loses a bit of brightness into the distance, but still bright enough to light the way ahead, however trying to film the light while on the road is almost impossible with my gopro with its automatic exposure dimming the light to nothing. There are many many led lamps out there that are much more powerful, but if you have a classic bike, or car for that matter that has a very low powered dynamo, then this gives a much brighter light than a Quartz Halogen lamp of 35/35w with significantly less strain on the weedy dynamo. I'm very happy with the performance so far and the Paul Goff BA9 12 volt pilot lamp is also very bright and a perfect daytime running light, draining only 1.5 watts, and lets me ride around town at slower speeds where I dont get so much charge to the battery.
