My local malls are doing great, I think their success can be attributed to having direct stops on busy transit / subway lines. They are really fast and convenient to access. Much different from the dead mall in my former hometown which was in the middle of nowhere and you had to get there by car!

I grew up in MN. When we were teenagers the big thing was to get dropped off at MOA and bum around there with your friends, or you can take the transit to go to Minnehaha falls or First Ave and Hennepin Ave walking around in Minneapolis. My dad made sure us girls knew what Harper’s of the cities to stay away from. Drove my mom crazy because she was always worried sick about us, and my dad didn’t really care or think it was a big deal. At least we’re street smart I guess. I had a good time, and nothing bad happened! lol

One of my local malls just closed, and is getting demolished. So many memories, used to go there every Friday night to go to the arcade and 2nd&Charles. 😢

I loved that mall my 63 year old aunt would go there when she was a teenager its so fun it closed down becoming something it was a outdoor mall i guess they did say it was a end of a era

my malls are still alive and well very popular, and full of stores that get overcrowed at times, just that some malls don't change with the times..some do open up stores that will appeal to teens and adults
