China warns U.S. to 'terminate arms sales, military contact' with Taiwan

China warned the U.S. on Thursday to halt arms sales with Taiwan,…amid escalating tensions between the two superpowers.
China's demand for the termination comes as the U.S. officially notified Congress of weapons sales to Taiwan,… worth one-point-eight billion U.S. dollars.

China on Thursday warned the U.S. to "terminate arms sales and military contact with Taiwan".
This comes after the U.S. State Department on Wednesday, notified Congress of an approved one-point-eight billion US dollars' worth of arms sales to Taiwan.
In response to the U.S.' proposed sales of sensors, missiles and artillery,… Zhao Lijian, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, strongly opposed the decision during a daily news briefing on Thursday local time,… saying that China will take "legitimate" and "necessary" measures depending on how the situation progresses.
"The U.S. sales of weapons to Taiwan severely violate the One China principle and the Three Joint Communiques, particularly the August 17th communique, seriously interfere with China's internal affairs, seriously damage China's sovereignty and security interests, send a seriously wrong signal to Taiwan independence forces, and severely damage China-U.S. relations and peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. China firmly opposes to this."
Meanwhile in Taipei, the Defense Minister of Taiwan thanked the U.S.,… saying that the weapons will help improve its "defensive capabilities". He also added that Taiwan has no interest in engaging in an arms race with China.
"Regarding the U.S. arm sales this time, we express our sincere appreciation."
Last week, Reuters reported the White House was going forward with five separate military sales deals with Taiwan worth a total of five billion U.S. dollars.

WHAT IT MEAN BY CHINA 9 POINT LINE?
Cos I'm sure, some aware fishing and oil drilling industries have no restriction in South China Sea even this two activity were the main concern, when countries disputing on international water.
So do what happen when carrier Ronald Regan went to South China Sea and surrounded by 7 China war ship recently or 9 point line actually mean no powerhouse from west allowed to help China opponent, if one day China decided to attack Japan or Taiwan..

Sure help from west still could reach Japan from Pasific Ocean but must direct confront with China and Taiwan position were worst since help that could reach that island must come from Laos or thru land since the whole south china sea cannot see another way thru or area known as 9 point line.

Then how to see Japan and China have border, if the two nation separated by Japan sea?
You mean Manchuria which under Japan rules after 1st Sino war in 1895 or how border exist between the two nation. Then how to see Japan start Sino war 2 and not China?

Inshort, China have rights to attack Japan because China people like to lies. And why Taiwan were part of China even they fail to take back that island in Taiwan War, were not the world to blame.
Yet the world indeed responsible, if China allowed to keep attacking Taiwan by waging war over war, till they succeeded in taking back that island, if one day Taiwan refuse to accept China proposal (two nation, one policy)
