With help from head coach Brian Daboll, and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, New York Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has developed into one of the NFL's best at his position. Here's how Lawrence has taken his game to a whole new level in 2022.

I remember when Kiper Jr, Louis Riddick, and Booger McFarland blasted the Sexy Dexy pick. Because they wanted the Giants to take Montez Sweat. Kiper Jr and Riddick also blasted the Andrew Thomas pick saying he's the 4th best OT. 🤣 Which I thought was absurd at the time for both picks.

When he’s in the 4i that is his gap 21 has contain and misses the tackle. He plays that block correctly

On the development it also requires complementary play. Nyg player through the DL last year the offense set them up, the mlb stayed at home and secondary absorbed it all alone.
Vrabel dn in tn has tried the same stuff the last 2 years and its been huge for Jeffrey simmons

While Ex-GM Dave Gettlemen failed at the overall construction of the roster as he failed on the Oline & pass rush, he did draft a lot of good players who make up our talented young core. We have a special core of young & talented players. They’re not only good players & athletically gifted, they have heart & grit, & their leadership skills belie their years. One such player is Mr Sexy Dexy himself.

Dexter Lawrence is a phenomenal DT & football player but is an even better leader & citizen which is saying something. Guys like Dex & McKinmey are why this team is special even though it’s one of the youngest teams & lacking in veterans. That’s why it’s special & something incresible. The NFC East is a Beast again, but I feel the Giants can not only be competitive but return to dominance & have sustained success. We haven’t been this set up across the board in years. We finally have a shrewd & talented GM, great Head Coach, excellent coordinators, & deep & balanced roster in a decade.

And as far as Dex, he’s a true Giant. Dex, Kayvon, Ojulari & the rest of Big Blue are ready to take up the vaunted mantle & tradition of Giants greats like Stra, Osi, Tuck & JPP which is a heavy undertaking but Big Blue is back. Oh, and no 6’4” 345lb human should be able to move like a 5’6” 150lb Bruce Lee. Well, maybe not that quick, but insanely quick for a bear of a man.

Let’s Go Giants. What a 2022 season. What an offseason where feee agency & the draft were crushed. Ready to see what Dabs, Kafka & Wink can cook up with Schoen’s grocery shopping. Let’s freaking Go! Let’s Go Big Blue!

I'm always leary of players who ball out in their contract year. Maybe it was the scheme and a relentless work ethic, but maybe ole Dexy was playing for a contract. (See Albert Haynesworth)
