Windows Volume Activation Key Management Service Tips.
Last week at work was all about Windows Volume Activation Services. If you are a Windows administrator you will do this once and forget all about it like I did. In our new single domain forest, I configured Active Directory-Based activation for Windows a couple of years ago and have not given it another thought. Now we are decommissioning all the servers running 2008 R2 in dozens of trusting resource domains. Surprise, surprise there is a list of five Key Management Service servers that need to be replaced in five resource domains. Let's walk through what needs to be done.

Hello channel owner, can you tell me how much the Key KMS server costs? Can I use your key in the video?

Thanks for sharing your advice! I wonder, is it safe to broadcast those WVA serial keys? I see you have hidden your windows keys but not the serial key you typed in in the beginning.

Thanks for this infomative.

I setup a KMS server in my forest and its getting counts. Does this mean the machines that did the request are getting licensed now?
I see the request of those host in the event viewer of MS.

Do i have to check the license status just by going to a host and check with slmgr /dli? or is there a more simple way to check the status?
Or do need to use VAMT for that?
