Sorry but I must say, Taiwan is belong to China because international doesn't think that Taiwan is a country. Taiwan is not allowed to join any international meeting and activity. But they have a benefit is Taiwan citizen can use social media such as Facebook but PRC can't use it.

You can what you want communist for Taiwan is real China but really there are two chinas one democratic and one communist but the communists are afraid of the democratic one because it is Chinese and holding the last of old Chinese language and culture

You see, the official stand of Mainland China is always that both Mainland and Taiwan are China, and unification is an eventuality that both sides can communicate and negotiate how to achieve that.
However the stupids are babbling about "Taiwan should be independent/part of Japan/part of US‘ which is just laughable. Those are the same people yelling "Taiwan will reconquer Mainland!" few decades back, it's just that the Mainland became powerful that they are afraid then started yelling "independence!"
Their legitimacy are as valid as the guys saying "hmm I'm feeling good today I'm now independent and will not pay taxes any more’
