Looks great! I have everything I would need to tackle a project like this except for a wood planer. While I would love to invest in a nice standup/benchtop planer someday, do you think it would be possible to handle this with a cheaper handheld planer? Also what is the height for your railing posts? Thanks!

This is exactly what we want to do with our back patio. We already have the wood rails, just need to slap a nice tabletop on there. You said you used cedar, is that pressure treated for outdoors too? Wish you would have done an actual how to video. But it looks great!
