Meet the 22 year old Farmer from Heho, Myanmar

Min Khant is pretty special. Only 22 years old, his passion for chemical-free produce led him to create an organic demonstration farm directly behind his fathers agro-chemical shop! His dad even stopped talking to him for a while as he persuaded some of his customers to grow without his products!

Learning from Youtube and other farmers in his area, Min Khant grows exceptional produce and we love representing him at Kokkoya. Last year as our sales increased with COVID, it meant our orders to Min Khant grew and we supported his farm expansion. This year however, our market has been greatly reduced and Min Khant's plans have had to be postponed. As Min Khant explains, it doesn't matter how many organic veggies he can grow .. its the market that controls how successful he his.

We hope to go back and film some more of Min Khant as he has some really great techniques that other farmers in the area could replicate.
