Leptokaria is a small, mostly family resort at the foot of Mount Olympus. Of course, its beaches and sea cannot really be compared to the scenes from the Greek islands, but it has a whole series of advantages that make it teeming with tourists every summer.

Proximity and accessibility stand out on the first place of that list. The road is not too long and tiring, it can be reached by bus without any problems, which is a big plus for families without their own transport.

In the town itself, you will find all the necessary facilities, from a clinic and a pharmacy, to restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops and taverns.

A visit to the museum in the center, a visit to the church of St. Nicholas is also recommended, and there is also a good shopping center in the old part of Leptokarija. There are also Lidl and Masoutis, and people especially like the weekly market, the biggest in this part of Greece. They also report that the prices are very favorable, sometimes even lower than ours.

Although the resort has a disco or two, it is clear from the impressions of tourists that Leptokaria is not for young people who want to have a good time, but that it is a quiet place that is most suitable for families and older people
