In the dream world Arri lives in, sure, they're affordable.

These are close to the Tribe7 Blackwing kit at $90, 000 USA. And they definitely have more features compared to the competing lenses. I dig them! Definitely can't afford them but if a production is asking for something unique these can definitely be something I'd ask Arri if we'd be able to rent them.

I think Arri means that it'll be easier to have access to them, considering that you would be able to rent them for way less, since they'll cost less then half for rental houses to buy. They can't be meaning to say they are affordable for young filmmakers to buy.

At 41k per 3 lens kit ….. it’s not exactly affordable.
The affordable set with a similar style would be the DZO Arles.
The Enso is a big investment but one I think will pay off depending on your market and the work you/we will be using it for as an owner operator.

LPL is not the standard mount.
PL is.
LPL is a larger mount with a shorter flange distance.
I believe these lenses have a large enough image circle to fit the Alexa 65.
Considering that, the price is not as expensive as it sounds.
However, that does not make them any more affordable.

Considering the state of the filmmaking world i pray for the ppl who buy these to rent. I see Zeiss Supreme Primes barely getting $250/lens a day

I don't think Arri knows there is a world outside of enterprise/commercial big budget production

87k for 6, so around 15k for 1 lens, when i buy all the gear that i ever wanted i will be around that number in TOTAL GEAR

Nothing that costs over 10K a piece is affordable.

I got excited for about a minute then saw the price. Not affordable maybe only to rent.

Good lord people. “Affordable” for film productions is different than “affordable” for owner operators. Arri isn’t taking into account people’s abilities to purchase these lenses. It is about the rental prices. The Ensos are incredible because they bring access to an Arri lens set that is extremely tuneable on the fly down to sub $1k a day. That is huge for the industry. Indie projects can afford that. I’m sorry that the highest end cinema company in the world didn’t make a $10k lens set for you prosumer operators

At what price ?? it is obvious that ARRI is not ready to face the reality yet? arri orbiter no one buyer? Even arri skypanel was supposed to be not more than3500😂 cp3 is far much better 😅

Arri wants to promote its "affordability" so much that its lens barrel does not even show the T2.1 aperture value, which is mediocore compared to the actually affordable DZO Arles T1.4 set 😂

Built by people living in first world countries, of course it's "affordable"

Eventually, these companies are gonna go under as Hollywood is forced to cut cost.
