Visiting Château Les Carrasses, France (Ep 12)

We like finding interesting places to stay on a family trip, and having a full kitchen is always helpful. We reserved one of the multi-room suites at Chateau Les Carrasses for 4 nights. Our kids were eager to explore the place and claim their bedrooms.

We love traveling to see more of the world. We also try to maintain a routine for our kids. While at Chateau Les Carrasses, we did homeschool in the morning, followed by riding bikes or going on a walk. We usually bring school workbooks that cover math, language arts, and social studies.

The grounds of the chateau are beautiful and very delightful to wander around. Several afternoons we went swimming in the infinity pool, which our kids loved.

We cooked a few meals in our kitchen, as well as visiting the chateau restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Even in France, our family loves making tacos. Alternately, when we visited the Chateau Les Carrasses restaurant, we did our best to order from the French menu and interact with the serving staff, despite not speaking French. The chateau also had a lovely breakfast selection in the mornings.

Overall, we had a memorable time visiting Chateau Les Carrasses. Our stay was in between busy travel days, so it was nice chance to slow down and enjoy the countryside. Next, in France our family explores the amazing city of Carcassonne.
