had the same problem. replace the steering dampener

i welded a tab off the back of the diff and mounted the steering damper to the back tie rod. so the damper runs from near the diff centre and bolted to the back tierod.

I have the same on my Land Cruiser 80, I am convinced its the top and bottom bearing that need replacement

Another cause can be cracks around the panhard bracket.
