APR is pleased to announce the Stage II ECU Upgrade for the Golf R and S3 is now available for the North American market with other markets around the world to follow. APR’s Stage II ECU Upgrade is designed to work with APR’s upcoming Cast Race DP Exhaust System and builds upon APR’s already incredible Stage I ECU Upgrade. When combined with APR’s Intake System, peak power and torque figures grow further over Stage I to produce an astonishing 382 horsepower and 387 ft-lbs of torque! The additional hardware and tuning allows the turbo to spool much sooner, and ultimately results in a gain of 36 horsepower over Stage I and a staggering 100 horsepower over stock! APR anticipates the new AWD Cast Race DP System to be available later this year.

Literally identical to my 2016 R. Custom tune and gearbox tune, intake, downpipe, exhaust cutouts, very similar Hp and TQ. 1/8 and 1/4 were within a tenth of a second, same mph.
Pretty typical to see these numbers from stage 2 Mk7 R.
Surprised lots of cars pulling onto the highway, including an M4 which was mad haha

Can anybody explain to me how these VWs respond so incredibly well to just a tune, intake and downpipe while other cars (say, the STI) need way more work and still end up slower?  Is it because these cars are detuned to begin with but the hardware present is more than sufficient to handle the crazy gains in power?  What gives?

This also has to be in cold air, with very low DA. Also, VW de tunes these cars to 206 kW (272hp), in hot climates, such as Deserts in CA, AZ and Texas or S Africa, Dubai, etc.

Im wondering hows APR is feeling about eurodyne ? 1- I can do the tune my self, 2 - updates are free , 3 - can flash the car back to stock if needed again from my house, 4 - better performance and top end ? Why should i get apr?

Not reving hard normally goes to 7000 before an up shift and the shifts are more aggressive

Was that the dsg slipping at around 20mph? The rpm jumped forward while the speed remained around 20mph for a second...indicating clutch slippage. Hopefully I'm wrong since the mk7 R will be my first non manual car and hoping it can handle a stage 2 safely.

massive clutch slippage at 20mph??? has the TCU tune been sorted since...I was contemplating a Stage 2 map for my mk7.5 Golf R...I believe there isn't a TCU tune available for the MK7.5 as of yet?

3.6 0-100 on pbox. The time of stock on pbox is than 4.9 ??? Or it is lower, becouse all talking of huge gains, but nobody talk what is time measured with pbox or gps boxes on stock?
