Here's a FACT.. Styx wrote all of their best music with Dennis Deyoung. They have NOT written anything that anyone cares about since the split. Give the FANS what they want. We want Dennis back! He still sounds great.

Dennis may or may not be a jerk - I don’t know because I’ve never met him. What matters to me is how many hits didi Styx have with Dennis versus how many hits did Styx have without Dennis.

DeYoung is Styx. Whether you like rock ballads or not, or theatrics, he was the catalyst behind their fame. Nothing wrong with Tommy. Every good musician can get a hit here and there but many people don't know that it was DENNIS that took Tommy's songs, rearranged them and made them what people eventually heard on the radio. I do think that Tommy has enough talent to have been discovered eventually, but it was surely Dennis that made him a star and most definitely not the other way around.

I am the proud owner of 7 Styx albums. "The Grand Illusion" is a masterpiece. It's the album that has "Come Sail Away" and "Fooling Yourself, " but if you've never listened to the whole album you need to do yourself a favor and listen. "Man In The Wilderness" is magnificent; some of Tommy's best in my opinion. If you wanna hear Dennis in the band, listen to the albums/CDs. That's the only way its gonna happen. By the way, the current lineup is AWESOME!!! I have seen them and I can say that because I know so!

I don't know why DeYoung just didn't go solo on Mr. Roboto. Like Peter Cetera, Phil Collins. They went solo, and came back to the group once done. Well, not Cetera, he had enormous talent and didn't need the band. But Chicago was never as good again. It's a pity, their manager couldn't see this, too many egos clashing. You ruined a talented classic group. SMH...

Styx is a cash cow for Shaw, but he wasn’t an original member! If he feels Dennis’s songs messed the band’s success, then he shouldn’t have the band play the songs Dennis wrote! I mean like shaws songs, but Dennis’s. songs were more defining for the band!

Shaw owes 'Damn Styx Rangers' to Dennis's visions that set
Styx apart from the rest and gave Tommy the notoriety to leap
into other project successfuly... IMO....
