Workd perfect for me, for anyone else my symtoms were my reverseing lights wouldnt work also my reverse buzzer would not beep at all. Replaceing this part took ten min on my 1.9 touran and cured both problems.

Had mine changed today by a mechanic. That and an oil change cost me £249.60!! I could have saved myself some money if I knew where it was. I know now though. Have changed the oil myself before now but that was when my leg was 100 per cent better! Am still recovering from a broken thigh bone.

Nice video. Thanks for showing how to unplug switch. So many others gloss over that on any videos that have electical connectors. Yet those can be tricky. Also simple and quiet is good

It was a pain to reach in my TT, but I replaced it and now it works nicely

I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra, with a supposed reverse light issue, probably a dirty connection. Dad even witnessed it this evening, with very dim (LED) bulbs. He then saw those lights brighten up. Some days I would park the car leaving the (manual) shifter in the reserve position (instead of first/low forward gear). It has seemed much more more bright afterwards, upon my return.

Thank you very much for this Video🤗💪🏼

Wow you got lucky with the location of your backup switch...

I believe that I will need to replace my back up/reverse light switch in my 2004 Sentra. Sometimes it works (and mostly not as of now). I have switched out my two bulbs way back, now using LEDs. Lately, my lights DO light up, but, are very dim now.
(I just checked it 5 minutes ago. It looks bright now, but, I know that it won't last. Shall change it before my January 2025 State Inspection.)

Hi there
I see that you undertook this on a " Mark 4 Volkswagen Golf." I have an Audi A3 1.9Tdi 8P1 2009 of the same family group etc.
Will my switch be in the exact same location ?

Great video, I didn't notice a washer ring on removal or install, is that just the way these are? Any idea if it might be the same on an MK1 Cabriolet? Thanks again!

I changed switch but have to hold floor shifter all the way to the right for lights to come on. What is the problem

Or use a test meter to see if you get conductivity when the switch is depressed.

Hey mate, mad respect for the video. I have a Honda Accord Euro 2008 V6 with reverse light problem and I am unable to locate the switch. I checked the bulb and light, its good, so the problem must be switch. If you can see this comment, just let me know where it is located on the hood, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks. Have a great new year.
