Thank you so much this is great. My favorite fantasy genre. I'm so surprised most people don't like or mention Wicked Lovely. It was my number one Fae series that I had read this far before discovering ACOTAR.

Also, I’ve been trying to find this book for years now but I can’t remember the title or the name of the author. But, I do remember some parts of the book:

-The cover of the book was like a blue sky with fairies flying around in the middle
-There was once scene where water pond/ lake fairies made you answer riddles to pass the lake
-There was a scene were you walked into a shy weeping fairy in an icy cave
-There was a scene in the dark, where the pond/ lake morphed into a face of person....

That’s really all I remember, also the book was more a chapter thick book, rather than a thin book

Have you read many books about Mermaids? The only books I've read with them is The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen and The Siren by Kiera Cass (I don't count the Odyssey). Mermaids are my personal favorite mythical creature!

For middle grade readers or anyone like me who loves fairies, I'd recommend the Disney Fairies in Pixie Hollow series. It really opened my eyes about Tinkerbell because I just thought she looked pretty and got into mischief. It turns out her name bares her talent which is tinkering. I had no idea Tinkerbell could work with her hands and build stuff.

Those are abilities a lot of us don't associate with characters that are portrayed as girly and feminine like she is to a few people. It helped give a new dimension to her voice... you know one that I had never heard before lol and this was before the movies that I discovered this series mind you.

It also was awesome to find out about all the other fairies with various talents and abilities and get a peek into their world and how it works.

Juliet Marillier's Severwaters series portrays strong females, romance, and the face. I also recommend Marie Brennan's Oynx Court series. It's Queen Elizabeth meets rivals of the face.
