Therizinosaurus is an extinct genus of the therizinosaurid family that lived in Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period around 70 million years ago.

The appearance of Therizinosaurus had been a debate until recent decades because of the highly incomplete nature of early finds and a lack of knowledge of the dinosaurs that would come to be categorized later as therizinosauridae.

Fun fact: Therizinosaurus and its relatives are actually omnivores. Sure they eat plants, but during droughts, they could go for a carcass from miles away.

I remember the first time I had ever heard of Therizinosaurus was in When Dinosaurs Roamed America and then again in the Walking with Dinosaurs special 'The Giant Claw' with Nigel Marven and every time I look at this dinosaur I found it hard to believe it was a gentle herbivore and yet it had the claws of a Predator and for quite a while I was confused about that until I saw this special on Dinosaurs where they discovered the reason why the ancestors of Therizinosaurus were related to Velociraptor yeah that's right everyone the ancestors of a Dinosaur Herbivore were members of the most vicious Predatory dinosaur families in history until they evolved into plant eaters man quite a shocker wouldn't you agree.

I am weirdly upset that the therizinosaurus in Dominion looks like a straight up carnivore (maybe besides the small "beak" at the tip of its mouth).

Lot of stuff wrong here.

The Mesozoica description is a complete lie, and Therizinosaurus never made it into the game. The Jurassic World Evolution one is a mod, there is no Therizinosaurus in JWE. The Dominion one is fan art made from leaks before the official design was revealed, it's not an official image.
