So I've studied this video an dothers closely. I don't see any movements or lack of movements being made in the car. For example gyros autocorrect in mid air and his fingers are making these corrections the whole time. Idk. I believe he is talented and he also makes mistakes but makes fewer of them. ABS is permitted but many drivers don't like it because it can unsettle the car. Radios can do a lot which is all legal. This guy is simply a great driver as far as I can see.

I ran tech at 2016 worlds and we never found him cheating- including the second round when I grabbed his car right before it came to his dad and shoook the car- no indications from the wheels. Dad in broken English “good driver”

He isn't cadency breaking so much as he's got throttle mixed into the "yaw" axis of his throttle. He is pulling the stick back and then adding sideways input. You can see it and also hear the RPM blips aligning with the inputs at the end of the straight starting at 0:18 and 0:53

Why on earth whenever ther's a talent there must be a conspiracy?

Why does one of the best RC car drivers in the world need a gyro? What you just saw was a man at the top level of RC car racing doing his thing

As soon as someone is doing well in something in life, they are branded a cheat

I never understood why we moved to pistol grip radios.

He is a wheel!! That simple, no cheating here.

That doesn't necessarily mean he's using a gyro, the small movement at the transmitter could be magnified by an exponential setting that moves the servo 2-3 times the input. Adam Drake has used that kind of setting on his steering where you only move the wheel on the transmitter 5° but you get 10-15° at the steering servo. It helps your reaction times somewhat by minimizing latency in the system.

I was told about the manual ABS style of driving by another driver a couple races back. Interesting too see it done at the top level. Could’ve gone w/out the clock bait title though. “Ongyro”- the nickname you get when you’ve undoubtedly proven your the best.

It's skill. Manual abs. Gyros won't steer as effective too.

Do pro racers usually use that type of transmitter? I thought they use the whee/trigger type

If you saw what ronnefalk did with the car with 3 mins to go at 22 world's you would also believe he has a Giro... lap was insane

Coming from fpv drone racing I'm so glad I can use my radio and not buy a trigger wheel radio!
