How often do people test their backup key to verify that the key is still working? It would really suck to find that 3rd key is not working when you need it.

Really a question, is it safe for always place a plugged key on the daily machine. So if you lose your machine the key is still with it together defecting the multi factor?

Having your Yubikey plugged into your daily work computer at all times seems like a risk. What if your laptop gets stolen?

password manager more easy-to-use didn't require physical keys to handle it evey time especially when traveling

If you keep the 3rd one "always locked in a safe", its not a backup of the first 2! (Just saying for anybody who does not understand how these things work in practice)

Nah, I don't like these keys 😊 A bit of brainpower and knowledge what you do fits better than trusting in any extra device.
