When I decided to bring Mia into my life 3 years ago I was in a pretty shitty spot.

A series of unfortunate events had me in crumbles and then Covid hit.

The perfect storm.

Getting Mia gave me purpose, a reason to wake up. She forced me to be creative, to find solutions to problems she was creating and to find time to loving her back.

I find fascinating the ability of a pet to brighten our days.

This week it’s been quite sentimental as I’ve been surrounded by loved ones yet very far from home.

I’m grateful for the happiness that now surrounds me.

I’m grateful for the health of my loved ones back home.

I’m grateful for Mia, who is unconditionally by my side. Both when days are bright and when everything is dark.

My cat saved me to, I was sitting outside crying as I was going through hell at the time and this cute little tabby cat appeared and came straight to me. To cut a long story short she had owners that were drinkers they left her out in all weather's and she was so skinny as they were not feeding her. I started to feed her because she was so skinny and we didn't rush her we let her go at her pace it was 6 months before she dare come in my flat but she came ever day and would stay with us. Then her owners had to move and they were not allowed pets so they asked us if we wanted her and we didn't have to think we said yes and now it's 3 years later, she has grown into a beutiful cat and we moved so now she has her own garden she loves the neighbours and they love her, we live in a close so it's safe for her. She saved my life I know if she had not come I wouldn't be here now she saved my life😊

I think you're right. The bond with a pet like that is just different. I got my first cat after my mom divorced my abusive dad and he was a Bengal too. Such a sweet boy and he was like my furry shadow. He got me through a lot of tough times. It's so sweet to see the bond that you and your cat share. I'm in the same boat, here, again. I just got a new cat for the same reason you got yours and I'm already so attached and excited to go on adventures with my new buddy! Sometimes your pet really can rescue you. I know God had them both come into my life at just the right time. ❤️

I saved each and every one of my cats off the horrible streets and they in turn save me back every day. I am struggling in severe pain every day with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, type 2 diabetes, fibromyalgia, and asthma. I cannot have human babies due to a condition from the lupus so kitties are the closest I'm going to get. The love I have for them is that kind of a bond. Nobody will ever love me back the way they do

Absolutely adorable kitten! Great video, I was there too after losing all 3 of my cat's in 2 yrs time. I also lost my older sister to cancer just 2 yrs before I lost 2 of my 3 cat's just 5 wks apart. The loss was overwhelming and I didn't get another cat like I had always done before because I was afraid that something in my Apt was causing their cancer. 2 of my cat's had cancer that 2 different vets missed until it was too late. I had found a cat colony of 15 cats living in the pool area of my apartment complex. I got them all trapped, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. I fed them every day for 8 yrs until they were no longer around. I found a couple of strays a few years ago and started to feed them since I had no cat's of my own then. I was feeding them one night and one of them that I had been feeding showed up with a little kitten on the first cold night in Sept of 2022. He was about 4 wks old or less and was crying his head off. I managed to scoop him up and tucked him in my jacket and he quit crying. I took him home and that was how I found my current cat Junior.
