Custard pie is a dessert that many Fijians have grown up eating. I grew up eating pineapple pie but the recipe is similar in many ways just without the crushed pineapple. It's a simple dish that has a lot of flavour. I decided to make the custard from scratch but you can always use the custard powder. You can add any kind of fruit/topping to your pie, I decided to have mine plain which still tasted delicious. Hope you all enjoy!

Ingredients

Crust
1 3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (soften)
1/4 cup milk
1 egg

Custard
2 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup corn starch
Drops of yellow food colouring (optional)
1 cup cream
1 1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoon butter

Note:
If you want to use custard powder add 1/4 cup custard powder and 2 cups of milk. Add a little bit of milk if it's too thick.

Even before baking it I could tell that this is the worst pie ever🤢🤮🚮 if you're watching this pls don't ever waste your money to buy the stuffs that has been shown in this video to make pie .It's just blah🤮
