We had a dog like this before. The neighbours called animal control on my parents because the dog refused to come in the house and we didn’t have a dog house. My dad built one and the dog slept on the roof. In the snow.

Huskies will get out and run 5 miles to town, mess with people and run back to the house, before you get home from work. They love what they love.

Saw a documentary on huskies and sled racing in Alaska where it showed the dog houses with lumps in front covered in snow. Owner called and the lumps stood up and shook all the snow off. Surprise me. This dog only has a beginner coat going, give him time.
