Wow, I really feel this even not understanding any of it. I heard Terry for the first time on September 30 on CBC as they showcased music from a number of different Indigenous Artists during the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. I heard this song and I found it haunting. I searched to find out who he is. To be honest I thought Terry was older in the way he sang with his voice. I also discovered that this song was written by a friend of Terry who got him interested in the guitar. His name was Solomon Uyarasuk. Terry lost his friend while he was in police custody. When I heard this I realized why the song pulled me in. Terry Uyarak, keep it up you really resonate with others with your music. I am sorry for the loss of your friend, Terry, but I am sure that he was so proud of you.
