step stool is pretty useful very early in the game, it lets you jump higher and gives you some stats if it has a good modifier

I’m not even a builder and this item is a must have, ancient chisel is generally good for underground expeditions to mine ore or blocks, and this is just a huge upgrade. Extra reach and block placing speed is fantastic, and treasure magnet is an item I usually don’t care about but the effect is great when it’s tied in with all this other stuff. I almost always have it on unless I’m fighting a boss or event.

I wish the toolbox wasn't tied to being a Christmas event only item. It doesn't make much sense given its not themed.

It would be better as an item that the mechanic sold that could be crafted into another accessory

The Stepstool is actually super nice for early mobility. When it's the only thing you have, using it actively can be fantastic. It's even saved a hardcore run before.
