I feel like a collab between these two would be killer, just because of how they represent opposite ends of the speed metal/thrash metal spectrum.

See, even a technical virtuoso like Marty just did his own spin on Raining Blood, it sounded good albeit not as sinister as the original whereas Kerry being a riff machine that he is. That’s why they’re good at what they’re doing, take that purists.

I think Slayer solos have their own style, Friedman doesn't fit that Slayer style. Maybe it's fit on Seasons In the Abbys because that album is more melodic.

Two VERY different schools of thought here lol. I like them both as guitarists but mixing a virtuoso like Marty with Slayer is like mixing Oil and Water. 😆
