I love seeing how far animation and video game graphics has gone; the texture, movements, expressions, and details create more depth to something classic. It makes the creepy look unnervingly haunted.

What i find more interesting is the animation comparisons between the old and the new.
The Armadura for example used to move more like stiff robots. Now they actually move more like an armor possessed by something.

The remake looks even better. I feel like the new art direction and aesthetic is more realized than before. The elements of gothic, folkloric, and body horror are amplified and help convey the lore and backstory of each enemy more effectively. The greater variety of Ganados and Zealots is also a big improvement.

I loved this game so much back then, I played it numerous times and have always praised it. When I found out about the remake, I was very excited. I got it last Saturday, have played for 24 hours already and still have two chapters to go. It’s a masterpiece.

How similar they are from the original and the remake shows how advanced the graphics already were when RE 4 came out, and just how insane of a job they did with keeping everything to the original.

This is what every remake should be. Not some cheap remaster with a resolution boost (that can be done for free on PC lol), but a serious reworking of models, textures, and also of gameplay sequences and even at times story beats where it makes sense due to pacing and stuff. Excellent.
