Recorded on July 16, 2013 | 00h30-23h30 UTC
Second rotation for this massive coronal hole CH577 (ancient CH574). CH577 is fixed on the northern hemisphere with a partial geoeffective position.
A coronal hole is an unipolar magnetic field opens towards the interplanetary space. On composite wavelengths of UV light, a coronal hole appear dark because there is less matter at the T° we are observing in. Here, the transition between wavelengths works well.

No problem with T°, the sun still our central heating. What interrest us here is the density of solar stream who escape from sun. This radiation storms can hit the earth's geomagnetic field with more or less intensity...

2nd rotation for CH577 (around 60 days), a coronal hole can remain for years when fixed on poles... When max solar activity period occurs, coronal holes can have a transequatorial position, then solar wind stream can be oriented directly toward the Earth creating solar storm condition with great auroras show.
No risk to the population except astronauts onboard ISS, the potential impacts concerne satellite systems particulary.

Very interesting... Who does the audio in this? At least it's not geometric, that's creepy.

When I watched this video, my young boy asked me "daddy what's that?" I told him, "that's a black hole son I mean, a black hole sun."
