Skywatchers across the UK witnessed the Northern Lights for a second consecutive day amidst incredible levels of solar wind reaching Earth.

The stunning display of lights was also observed in the US and various parts of the northern hemisphere.

Thousands of people went to Primrose Hill last night hoping to see the lights that started at 22:30 to be kicked out by the Met Police at 22:00 for being anti social, the only people being anti social in my opinion was the Met Police. I understand that the park shuts but surely you could make an exception for the event.

Britains Northern lights were amazing. I live in Scotland and they were in the sky just outside my door.Deep pink purple and blue. I have never seen anything so beautiful with stars too.

None of you missed out on anything. You cannot see them like thus with your eye, it only looks this way through a camera. It's pretty lame how everyone's git excited to say what they saw, when they didn't see anything

These auroras are not good. The earth's magnetic field is weakening and the poles are shifting because of our modern world, the Earth's Disaster Cycle can only mean we are heading towards the breakdown of civilization.

I saw them over Glasgow. Many people came to watch them from Cathkin Brease. Pink, blue and green rays. Beautiful.
