I have a 2023 base with AWD. Only “option” added was cruise control for $100. Always get at least 29 MPG, high of 33. Love the torque. Love the styling. Love that AWD is shift on the fly.

I have a 2023 RS fully optioned. I’m loving it so far. I HIGHLY recommend getting the panoramic sunroof/ moonroof it completes the car completely. Peppy and ready to go not the fastest but still fun. The sport mode stiffens the wheel a bit and revs higher. Definitely convenient and nice to drive. The 9 speed shifts very well

Nice review, thanks. I picked up a black and white RS in April; all options except the moonroof/power liftgate. 11k on it now, no problems whatsoever. Great looking vehicle I get many compliments. Agree on the CVT it works well. I do not think the vehicle is underpowered at all. Great Korean build quality, nice tech and safety features. The cloth/neoprene seats are interesting and fairly comfortable. I like also the electronic parking brake. I note the engine won a top ten award and that the IIHS gave this vehicle a "top pick." Gas mileage around 28 combined city/highway. Apparently they are selling a lot of these in Korea. Don't think I would change anything except adding a power passenger seat and turn signals on the outside mirrors. Only complaint is the horn; sounds as if it came from a Lordstown-built 1987 Pontiac Sunbird.

I got a 2022 Chevy Trailblazer RS with the 9 speed transmission on 10/27/22. I took it from Detroit to Auburn, Indiana a week after I got it on the highway & averaged 38 mpg.

Just got a Black 2022 Trailblazer RS with the tech package. We love everything about it. Not under-powered at all!

This is basically my next purchase. My 2015 Chevy Cruze was estimated at $8, 500 so If i can get an RS under $30k, tax included. I'll be sold. Of coarse customs are 6-7 months out, and basically 3-4 for any new ones at my last dealership in Buf, NY.

I got the 2022 Trailblazer RS optioned out and it absolutely love it! I would like them to add power passenger seating and get rid of the antenna. For everyone complaining about the engine, stop crying, this isn't meant for go racing down main street. It's a nice, stylish, well equipped, small SUV to roll around town with.

Auto stop mode will reset though after the engine is turned off . It doesn't always stay off.

I am considering a Trailblazer RS FWD with Technology Package in Summit White. The three things I would love to see added are; ventilated/cooled leather front seats, power passenger seat, and the 1.5L Turbo engine from the Equinox. I would also prefer a standard size sunroof over the panoramic, but just a personal preference.

That feature you mention at 9:13 about the auto stop/start functionality staying off (even when you start the car again) is really underrated here. Do you know if it behaves the same way on the 1st gen 2021 trailblazer?

Chevy gave me one a few weeks ago. It is collecting dust in the driveway. It drove nicely on the way home.

I actually own a 2022 Chevy trailerblazer RS trim. I'm very big on technology, this truck is missing things like a heads up display, a overhead camera in the display screen, and I feel because it's a 2022, it should be able to park itself. Also the backseats, in my opinion, should have monitors on the head rests. The trailerblazer that I own has all the bells a whistles that Chevy can offer in this trim, I ended up spending after tax and title a little over $34, 000. My suv is black with led lights both on the top and bottom, I also wished that Chevy would have the option to light up the bow tie in the front with a led light surrounding it. Lastly I will say this, I would have very much liked the logo to have projected on all four doors instead of just the back under the trunk. These are my gripes but obviously overall I love my Suv lol.

Hmmmm there's actually a lot to like in this vehicle and I can tell a lot of thought went in to the practicality factor when they were designing it. For this size slot and category of vehicle practicality is very important. That being said I would have preferred a 2.0 liter 4 cyl (non-turbo) with mild hybrid tech mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission which I think would be very feasible to get identical or almost identical fuel mileage numbers as what they are offering in the 1.3 liter 3-cylinder engine turbo set up. Throwing a turbo on a tiny engine just to give it "acceptable" performance means that the engine is always straining for power (especially because we are talking about a 3-cylinder engine here) whereas I've owned previous GM 4-cylinder (non-turbo)engines that have made it past the 350, 000 mile mark with zero issues, I have serious doubts about a 1.3 litre 3-cylinder turbo engine being able to do the same without some sort of rebuild being necessary along the way which of course will be once the vehicle is out of warranty coverage. One good thing I will mention is that according to the Chevrolet website, the AWD version comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission NOT a CVT which is only available on the FWD version. I would definitely opt for AWD either way but the fact that AWD comes with a 9-speed automatic rather than a CVT in and of itself makes it worth going for the AWD rather than the FWD. That being said, it's that 3-cylinder turbo that power plant that I just feel too apprehensive about to be able to make the plunge as I seriously think the turbocharger itself will bite the dust just past the 100, 000 mile mark just past the warranty coverage and the owner will be stuck with a repair bill that will be in the thousands of dollars. The 1 or 2 MPG advantage of a 3-cylinder turbo set up that's always having to strain and tap that turbo just to provide barely adequate power is just not worth it as compared to having a 4-cylinder., non-turbo, mild hybrid set up that gets nearly identical MPG's all while providing the same or greater horsepower without having to break a sweat and always operating at relaxed RPM's other than when the pedal is floored. The new Toyota Corolla Cross is a good example of that. It comes with a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, 169 HP engine that yields 31 mpg city, 33 hwy which even though more powerful than the Trailblazers 3-cylinder turbo the Toyota set up actually gets better gas mileage and that's not even the hybrid version which hasn't launched quite yet! It's precisely when compared to competitive offerings such as the new Toyota Corolla Cross that this Trailblazer 3-cylinder turbo set-up doesn't cut it or make sense.

Am I understanding your statement correctly when you said the base model is no longer for sale? As in, it is discontinued?
