While it's got a humourous slant to it, this is probably pretty close to how an immortal evil would react under these circumstances. Think about it; You are invincible to everything, except this one sword, which (as far as you know) is wielded by one of the deadliest warriors ever to have walked the earth. Your sorcery couldn't kill him, your armies couldn't kill him, your bounty hunters couldn't kill him, and now it looks like even time can't kill him, so the only man who poses a threat to you will haunt you to the end of time? You'd probably start to suffer psychologically.

I'm so glad that despite 50 years inuniverse and the darker, more serious tone of the show, Aku ist still a likeable goofball.

In this episode, we see that both Jack and Aku are going insane to the point that they start talking to themselves. However, while Aku is trying to cheer himself up, Jack is getting eaten away by his inner demons.

Greg Baldwin is the new voice of Aku. Despite the fact that nobody will ever be able to replace Mako, I do believe he did a fantastic job building on his legacy and honoring his memory with his work. There's a few interviews where Greg talks about filling Mako's shoes after he passed and they are quite heart warming to read, would definitely suggest looking them up. Much respect to the guy.

Aku: Yes you see, that's the actual problem. Once everyone saw how AWFUL that show is. I thought I would just wait it out and then Teen Titans G-
Therapist: We don't say its name here. It is a safe place.
Aku: Yes, sorry doctor. Well I just assumed that eventually over time, it would get-
Aku and Therapist:
Aku: But it isn't even ending. I mean like at all. It just seems to be on Cartoon Network all the time, and it looks like it'll be here FOREVER! I... I just don't know if I can handle that.
Therapist: Yes, it would seem that this foolish show has affected other reboots such as Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls. It's quite the conundrum.
Aku: Yes. What is that again?
Therapist: Just a confusing or difficult problem.
Aku: Yes, problem. I wish there was someone in Cartoon Network that could fix this problem.
Aku and Therapist: Yes, one can hope.

Its kind of funny how Aku has technically existed for thousands of years, these past 50 have been dragged out further than his entire life span for him. Jack really wore him down that bad mentally

Aku doesn't know Jack lost his sword and he's too scared to check for himself. You usually can't have an antagonist be fearful of the protagonist, but this cartoon makes it work. I don't think Aku is even aware of the daughters of aku cult.

See, this is how you make a joke about "safe spaces"- it doesn't mock the concept of safe spaces, but rather, it uses the mundane language of a therapy session to highlight the sheer absurdity of this whole scene.
