Wild FALLOW DEER - BIG BUCK & Harem - Dama dama

After several months of tracking and getting to know their favoured areas in differing weather conditions, I positioned myself comfortably in what I hoped to be a decent spot in one of 3 carved out resting spots / hidey holes in lines of bushes with little or no trees, plants or vegetation in front of me and waited.

I shot plenty of footage of the approaching herd before this footage, just in case they were startled at any point and fled.

I had, of course, sat in position a few times before on different days and they came nowhere near, despite conditions being favorable.

I knew I would have to return time and again because it was in mid-November time and the Bucks would soon leave the Hinds and go their separate ways until the following season.

Once I had some decent footage 'in the can' I was happy to just remain as still as I could for as long as I could and enjoy watching the largest wild herd I had ever tracked so thoroughly.

There were more than what you see in this footage too! These were just those who happened to graze more or less right in front of me.

Not too long after this, I suffered a cramp and had to move my legs about like a mad woman. unfortunately, this ensured the deer were gone in no time at all.
