Unfortunately the remote control is poorly designed and will drain it's battery in about a week. It does not shut off completely and continues a parasitic drain. Unless it is left plugged into a charger it will be dead when you want to use it. Alternatively some owners have hacked a switch into the unit. It is also far from water resistant. What really sucks is this winch is completely dependant on this remote.

Time 3/20/21, ordered winch. E.S.A.P. Aug. Reason lack of "chips". Common for today, for all chips from China?! Not 2 blame Warn. Warn is the best choice, do not settle for less.

My name is mohsin from saudi arabia i have notes that there’s water leaking in the motor side because of the heat which has affected the o ring (heat can be from motor or direct sun to the black motor cover) i have HD silicone gasket it’s worked better
