So what you guys don’t know is that yes throwing any explosive from a vehicle is super dangerous even to fully armored ones like the insurgent, nightshark, etc. the game registers it as still being “inside the vehicle” until it’s stuck to a surface or out of the air so it WILL blow up your vehicle in one hit if it’s shot by another player or NPC

This is the kinda stuff I would do in GTA San Andreas as a kid. Just get yourself on top of a building get a rocket launcher and try to survive the 5 stars wanted level. Shoot down a bunch of helicopters and military trucks. Oh fun times man!
