We have all sinned and have came short of the Glory of God. It doesn't matter how selfrightous you claim and how perfect you have lived. You still are a sinner as we are born into sin. It is our faith in Christ Jesus and his sacrifice that redeems us from our sinful nature. Your works and obeying of the law will not be enough to please God. It was Abraham's faith that was counted unto righteousness and not his compliance to the Law of Moses. Less anyone can claim it's from their works and not by the Grace of God unto salvation.

This is a terrible teaching - sins debt was paid in full by Jesus completely. Gods account of our sin is ZERO . It’s totally condemned into the flesh of Jesus, he who knew no sin became sin so we could become the righteousness of God you don’t “stop sinning” to be right with God, you accept Jesus as your righteousness & you practice good works & become a practitioner of righteous behavior by denying your flesh & when you fail, you will fail, God still atoned, you keep getting better at choosing the best path instead of running to sin you go to prayer, Bible reading, worship, praise - you convert & transform & God allows you to be more & more like Him, God paid for sin for us through Jesus it is the ultimate Faith we carry that no matter what we are forgiven & know we are justified not this back and forth works based better check the list faith.
