Now that the multiverse is in full swing following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it opens the door to endless character possibilities and a return of familiar faces that fans thought they would never see again. While Miles Morales is a popular choice for the next Spider-Man appearance, Spider-Gwen is also hugely popular and has appeared many times in various Marvel animated series.

Since the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been demanding that Sony give Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man a sequel film. While this could take place before or after the events of No Way Home, after would provide the opportunity for characters from other universes to enter the Sony/Marvel universe, including an alternate version of Gwen Stacy. While Gwen, played by Emma Stone, died tragically in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, her return as Spider-Gwen would match her role in Marvel Comics. An alternate Spider-powered Gwen Stacy appeared in Marvel's Edge of Spider-Verse in 2014.

I think what can happen is the multiverse got changed into two parts and there is now a alternate universe where gwen didn't die but Peter did but Peter has to stop him from getting dead because it changes his timeline into where he died instead of gwen
