Eng : This vintage flavor mixtape is born of Marina P's need to write and practice during the last lockdown, while digging out classic reggae riddims from Jules Homeys' record collection. The "Controvento Mixtape" came naturally through new unreleased lyrics, dubplates and exclusive tracks. This project is a tribute to the roots and rocksteady sound that have always nourished and influenced the productions of the Italian singer.
Fr : Le projet de cette nouvelle mixtape aux saveurs vintages est né au cœur du dernier confinement. Privée de live, Marina P a profité de cette période pour écrire, s'exercer et fouiller la collection de disques de Jules Homey's à la recherche de riddims de la vieille époque. Au fil des semaines la "Controvento Mixtape" s'est construite naturellement, autour d'instrumentaux historiques et de lyrics récents, de dubplates et d'autres morceaux exclusifs enregistrés pour l'occasion. Projet "hors cadre", elle se lit comme un hommage au son roots et rocksteady des origines, ce son qui depuis toujours nourrit et influence les productions de la chanteuse Italienne.
