In my opinion the outsiders is one of the best musical performances in a long time it tells such an amazing story and the acting and singing from all of the cast members is incredible

Woah woah wait a damn minute. Why am I just now seeing the outsiders featuring Brody Grant. I have followed him for years now before he was on Broadway and somehow I didn’t know he’s in that musical?!? So proud of him!

Was hoping Illinoise got some love in the acting categories similar to the Twyla musicals. It’s an incredibly moving piece, but I guess with seven nominees for featured actress and six nominees for featured actor, there were already ties. What a year for Broadway openings. Spring was so jam-packed.

The dancing in these shows looks the same.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for them. Fosse and Bennett you could differentiate, nowadays I can’t tell the difference.

Why are the nominees so completely underwhelming this year? There is no clear frontrunner, none of them have managed to break through the mold the way shows like Hamilton and Kimberly Akimbo did in the past.

There are great musicals! I also wish there was space for Here Lies Love, a political history musical did something unique with immersion to elicit an atmosphere of political complicity (using glamor to seduce the audience). But recent stuff have to be recognized.
