Trying to navigate your way through Zwift with the AppleTV remote isn't the best user experience you'll have in-game. There is one thing the AppleTV remote does well, and that's the quick and easy way to activate Power-Ups.

Also level 50 rider here. I've used Apple TV for Zwift since I started in 2018, but once I load a training session or race, I prefer to leave the remote as far as possible until it's time to save the session. Just grabbing it from a chair or table can activate one of the other buttons, which can enable some UI element or even go to the main Apple TV screen and get you out of a ride. At least the companion app doesn't interact with the operating system of the Apple TV, which is why I prefer to stick to that method for power ups.

Perhaps the best tip I have heard, I rarely use the powerups because they have been so hard to deal with using the Apple TV remote, but no more, Brilent.

Gotta love that 10xp “bonus”!!! I continue to run Zwift on my iPad and Airplay it to an AppleTV but these little UI/remote control improvements will mean that sometime soon I’ll take the iPad out of the equation

Thankyou, I’ve wanted to throw that bloody remote at the wall a couple of times during sprint race finnishes when it failed to select the power up.

I did not know about that one either, and I am using an AppleTV for the first time this winter. Not sure I needed to see you try 3 times to get a powerup... but hey! It was amusing, so fair dinkum!

The second sprint didn't give a power up because it's a measure to prevent power up farming. Not sure if it's a time or distance based cool down but you can't grab a new power up until after the cool down for the previous power up pickup is over

think it takes 1km or maybe +2mins to be able to get another power up by u-turn, from experience

Handy tip, given my zca won’t keep the map screen open (known bug for a month now) I’ve done plenty of rides where I’ve needed the power up and not been able to easily get at it on AppleTV
