Step by step instructions for making a 58 inch Lone star quilt using QuiltSmart printed interfacing and Ruby Star Society Warp + Weft fabric.

Materials:
8 x Quiltsmart 58" lone star panels
12 x fat quarters (2 fat quarters per 'colour', or 0.5 metres of each colour; 6 distinct colour groups with various vales)
2 metres background fabric (or 8 metres of Ruby Star Society Chore Coat Towelling)
3.5 meters of backing fabric

Cutting requirements:
48 x 2.5" x 5.5" rectangles per colour (288 in total)
4 x 18" squares, cut into half square triangles, and
4 x 12.75" squares, cut into half square triangles

Equipment:
Cutting mat
Rotary cutter
Quilters ruler
Sewing machine
Iron and ironing board
Pins

I interface my background square with very lightweight fusible interfacing as well to stabilize the bias when you cut into the triangles. It works very well with those long bias hypotenuses that are easily stretched and helps insure a flat background.
