144 views so far and nobody has made a comment to thank you for the effort /time required to make/edit and produce a video that we watched. Well flight brothers, thank you, I fly this craft a lot and from your video found a few things out that I did not know, please continue to make more on the DC3, like how to configure the maps to the tablet, etc.. Thank you. Porco Rosso.

Just got this for XP12 and your video is really helpful. Thank you for taking the time to share.

This is the clearest and most direct overview of a plane I've yet found. Thanks. I'm fairly new to flight sim and the cockpit was a little daunting at first, but you got me up in the air in 25 minutes and I will definitely be spending more time with this machine. Cheers.

Thanks for the video, I've been trying to figure out how to get the controls in the right position in order to start the engines and I finally got them both running after watching your video. I also liked when you accidentally shut off the right engine, mistakes happen and it adds a friendly feeling to the video to know you can make mistakes too. Great tutorial, thanks again!

510 views and I add a comment 😊. I found your channel just the other day (sometimes YT recommendations are useful) and I am impressed what you have done in a few months. Well made videos showing things that most other channels don‘t show. Tackling aircraft to a good level of detail without becoming boring. Keep on - waiting for that next one !

Thank you so much for this enlightening video! A while back, I used to fly in a DC3 between Ottawa and Montreal (First Air).

Plan on going for a flight in this tomorrow morning. Thanks for the vid. I’m sure it will be a lot less mysterious to step into this cockpit for the first time.

RE: throttle quadrant & looking away.
That plane has a perfectly good attitude autopilot that's perfect to set when doing those "look away" moments. =)

Good video. The reason for the flaps up takeoff is so the plane will not get airborne well below the minimum single engine control speed. You want to get through this speed as soon as possible. If you lose an engine on takeoff below this speed, you're pretty much dead.

Very nicely done. One note, To align the compass, there is a very easy method, just press the 'D' key on your keyboard. Saves time and is much easier. I love the AeroWorx C47. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. I use the GTN750 for flight planning and navigation.

Ah she's an old beast. I couldn't get her started (think it's a big) so I had to use the menu to start the engines.

Always liked the look of those old piston driven airliners. Although jets are better, they just don't have the character of the old planes. The DC-3 almost seems alive, but modern jets just feel more like robots. I could never become a pilot because of medical reasons but I'm still an aviation enthusiast and might possibly buy a better computer and a multi axis joystick to try flight simulation.

Very nice. I have around 20hrs proper in this crate. I actually land just a bit slower myself, do max 75, say 80 on final and touchdown at above stall. Say 65-70. Do you have the link for the FSX manual?

lovely video. I d/led this stunning aircraft model and your vid is really useful. Any future possibility of some flight planning with the DC3?

Doesn't the DC-3 have a locking tail-wheel that I think is locked during take-off and unlocked for ground maneuvering? I didn't hear it mentioned.

On take off the plane is difficult to hold or see impossible with the tail wheel locked? I have the same problem with the lockheed L18, plane well aligned yet? if anyone has an answer, take it.

Why did you pick GBN VOR when it is not between Tucson and Pinal Air Park? I am trying to understand this. I notice after you show the descent checklist your heading has changed from before the checklist. Did you decide when you got near to Pinal Air Park to stop going to the VOR?
