The UK spent nearly 50 years in complete alignment with EU consumer policy and it did no harm. The UK tradition is to test products before they get to market and this is the same in the EU. Mirroring EU product legislation is just common sense and is the only option left in order to increase growth and inward investment in the UK.

I worked in the UK chicken processing sector for 10 years. You should see what goes on under EU regulation. Clorinated chicken should be the least of your worries. Perhaps the EU should get its ducks in order before going quackers over American chickens!
